The Complete Book of Cat Breeding
by Dan Rice, DVM.

Despite its title, not as "complete" as the Vella/McGonagle book, above, but still worth having. The Vella/McGonagle book was written by breeders, and this book was written by a vet, and the difference is obvious. It is a fairly thorough treatment of the medical issues behind cat breeding: health, nutrition, pregnancy, labor, etc. It goes a bit more indepth on these specific subjects than other general breeding books go, but it does not have the breadth of the other books either. A good complement to the Vella/McGonagle book.

It is generally the best information I have found and very easy to read and understand. I found the section on pregnancy and assisting with delivery, especially CPR very helpful in having the most successful litters. It is so good that I am ordering another copy for a very experienced breeder that also wanted a copy.
