As of May 2007, the following changes have occured in the Maine Coon color classes.
- Create a new color class for the Silver Patched Tabby and Silver Patched Tabby & White.
- Re-arrange the Black & White Color Class (including Vans), the Tortoiseshell Color Class, the Tortoiseshell & White Color Class, and the Other Parti-Color Class into the following Color Classes:
- a Bi-Color class a Parti-Color class
- a Parti-Color & White class
- Re-arrange the Shaded Colors, the Smoke Colors, and the Shaded & White and Smoke & White Colors to create the following Color Classes:
- a Shaded & Smoke class
- a Shaded/Smoke & White class
