Bombay Breed Winners in CFA

 

First Male Breed Winner in 1984-85, GG, BW, NW Road To Fame's Luv It Black, DM

In the 2001-2002 show season, CFA began giving out a new title – Breed Winner, which is abbreviated as BW. This title is quite exclusive, being given to ONLY ONE cat in each breed or division in a given year – the highest scoring cat for that breed or division in the Championship class.

Although the award began in that season, CFA is retroactively adding the title to Breed Winners of previous years. In this article, Best of Breed was researched back to the 1966-67 show season where the best of breed cats were first listed in the CFA yearbooks.

The Bombay was first accepted for competition with CFA in 1976, and the breed winners from that point forward are listed below. Although CFA may not have yet updated their records to add the BW title to the cats listed below, the cats have earned the right to use the BW title.

For the Bombay, the first Breed Winner was CH, BW Kejo Kyrie , a female, who earned the award in 1976-77. The first male Breed Winner didn't occur until 1984-85, when it was earned by GC, BW, NW Road To Fame's Luv It Black.
