Oriental Longhair Breed Winners in CFA

 

First Oriental Longhair Breed Winner GG, BW Talisyn's Seance of Suntea

In the 2001-2002 show season, CFA began giving out a new title – Breed Winner, which is abbreviated as BW. This title is quite exclusive, being given to ONLY ONE cat in each breed or division in a given year – the highest scoring cat for that breed or division in the Championship class.

Although the award began in that season, CFA is retroactively adding the title to Breed Winners of previous years.

The Oriental Longhair was first accepted for competition with CFA in 1995, and the breed winners from that point forward are listed below. Although CFA may not have yet updated their records to add the BW title to the cats listed below, the cats have earned the right to use the BW title.

The first Breed Winner for the Oriental Longhair was a Lavender male in 1995-96, GC, BW Talisyn's Seance of Suntea. The first female Breed Winner followed 2 years later, a Ebony Ticked Tabby named GC, BW Casadecano's Tessa .
