The highest achievement in the CFA show ring is accomplished when a cat successfully earns the title of National Winner (NW). CFA established the title of Grand Champion in 1930 and the title of National Winner first appeared in 1971. In CFA, each year the top 25 cats in Championship, 25 Kittens and 25 cats in Premiership are awarded the NW title.
The Singapura was first presented to CFA by Hal and Tommy Meadow in 1981 as a natural breed. The Meadows had been living in Singapore in the early 1970's, and when they returned to the United States in 1975, they brought the three cats which were the foundation cats of the Singapura breed. They were accepted by CFA for championship status in 1988.
It wasn't until the 1991-92 show season that the Singapura had their first National Winner - a female named GC NW Nuance's Original Design By Rimba who was 15th Best Cat.
To date, no Singapura has earned a "Best" in any of the categories. The breed's highest placement was in the 1995-96 show season, when GC GP NW Nuance Rimba's Peaches of Squire was 5th Best Alter.
Below is a table with the national winning Singapuras including their name, color, sex, year of their win, and the award they earned.
